Peter CostantiniChief Executive Peter has extensive experience in executive leadership in the private and not-for-profit sectors. He is passionate about the strategic development of organisational potential, and has successfully aligned this with his considerable work in policy formulation and government relations. Peter has enjoyed success working with industry groups and enterprises undertaking strategic business reviews, market research, business planning, and tender preparation. He has a track record in formulating industry skills strategies encompassing employment, education, training and skilled migration; and in forming partnership linkages with Government and funding agencies. During his 12 years with the Queensland Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Peter worked with successive Governments on a wide range of policy issues and delivery strategies. He was a member for 10 years of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ministerial Advisory Committee on Education and Training. Peter played a leading role in the strategic direction of Australia’s apprenticeship system, Commonwealth and State funding models, skills shortages, Indigenous employment and training, and industry support for marginalised youth. Peter was the founding executive officer of Queensland Apprenticeship Services (QAS), which became the principal provider of support services to employers, apprentices and trainees in Queensland. A career highlight was establishing and leading the country’s largest Australian Apprenticeship Centre, when in 2004 it serviced 23,500 employers and more than 50,000 Australian Apprentices. Peter also has substantial experience providing strategic advice and business development as Director of Tactic Consulting Services Pty Ltd, a company he established in 2005. Peter has worked with numerous clients to improve their company’s market development, business planning, industry skills strategies, business profile and performance. Peter’s government relations advocacy and representation of client interests, including policy and program advice, tenders and funding submissions, has seen many businesses achieve their corporate goals. Peter is the Chairman of the Queensland Overseas Foundation Inc, and a Director of Innovation and Business Skills Australia Ltd. He holds a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Business (Marketing), and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. |
